Oh how he grows & grows & grows...

I can't believe my sweet stink stink is almost 11 months old!!!! It feels like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital all 6 lbs 10 oz of his little sleeping self on the same very cold afternoon.

Today he is a healthy and VERY happy baby!!!! He greets me with a smile each morning to let me know he is ready to begin his day and off we go to Auntie Kel-Razy's while mom and dad are off to work. He spends his day at her house playing with the pup pups and tearing up as much of her stuff as possible :) lol

Kels' drops him off to me at work at 5:00 and we go home to our normal routine of peeing Dallas and then sitting down to a nice bowl of warm oatmeal mixed with some sort of fruit for his evening dinner. Then I let him roam the house like there is no tomorrow - one of his favorite things these days is to open the pots & pans drawer to drag out what he wants to play with for a brief second before moving onto whatever next is up his sleeve. It's a constant battle with the toilet seat always being down otherwise he will go play in it like it's a waterpark or something then on the otherhand as terrible as this may be that is Dallas' drinking bowl. ha ha - kinda stuck in between a rock & a hard place...

We end up giving him a bottle and he's off to bed each night about 7:30. Needless to stay mom and dad are not far behind because after a full day of work and trying to keep up with Kylon - we are pooped!!!

Honestly, I think Kylon is at one of my favorite stages right now and he seems to be doing so good and learning so much. Just the other morning we were laying in bed and he was pointing up at his empty bottle sitting on the dresser - kind of took me by surprise :) He is also self-feeding small items like baby cheetos, gerber puffs and freeze-dried fruit. Then again he sure does love some grown-up food as well ~ spaghetti, gingerbread cookies, french fries and the list goes on. He's also at a point where he is walking with his push walker around the house. However, he feels he can get to where he needs to go much faster via crawling so he really relies on that mode of transportation 99% of the time.

My baby is growing up way too fast but at the same time I'm learning so many new things from him just as he is learning them.

Until Next Time...

It turned out to be a wonderful Thanksgiving once again with all of the different families we went to visit.

Wednesday night started the "Tour de Texas" for eating turkey and dressing with everyone we know. I got off work about 3:o0 and headed home to pick up Brett to head up to Nana's house to begin the festivities. Kylon was with Auntie Kel-Razy and she was waiting on Auntie Lulu so they didn't get up there till late that night so it was a nice few hours of being child chasing free :) Everyone was in good spirits and the food was wonderful so it turned out to be a very nice night with my family, we all went to bed fairly late and got up many many times in the night to tend to a screaming baby due to a little gas issue (thank you my wonderful cousins who fed him too much ice cream - that was so thoughtful) and then got up pretty early in the morning because he was up and ready to take on the day with style.

We headed back down south to Colleyville to meet up with Brett's family at the Maddux grandparents house for a little more turkey and stuffing before having to jet out of there to head down south a little bit further to Mansfield for a short visit with my Dad and his family. Before we left the Maddux house we did get to open a present from Aunt Laurie & Uncle Cory... Stink got a very cute new Christmas outfit that has a moose on the shirt and then on the fuzzy hat as well. Too cute & very much appreciated!!!!

Only stayed at my dad's for about an hour or so before we took off from there and headed out to my brother's house to visit him, my stepmom and his brother for a little bit. Ate some food once again, took a few pictures, told some great stories about the exciting stuff in our life and then got in the car to drive north to our wonderful home in good ole Bedford!!!!

I dropped off the kiddo at my sisters, the husband off at home, and went to stay at my aunt's house to tackle that wonderful Black Friday shopping experience.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Until Next Time...

Another first...

video

It's official Kylon is self-feeding and waving bye bye. I'm so proud of him and time is just flying by way too quickly.

A lil update on the stink pot - he's into everything and all over the place but luckily I'm not "too" paranoid so he pretty much has free reign of the house!!!! One of his favorite things is water so any option to crawl over to that bath while I'm trying to relax or even on the pot trying to pee he is there within seconds. He's actually pretty funny splashing his hands in the water and and getting water all over his face because all he does it stop to laugh really and hard keep going.

He's too precious!!!

Until Next Time A :)

Countdown to Christmas Baby...

Time to catch up...

Kylon is doing much better these days since he had the Z-Pak run through his system and do what it needed to do, no more horrible coughing or runny green nasty nose!!!!  He definitely seems as if he's back to his old self talking 90 to nothing and getting into as much as possible.

Let's just say I have dog food scattered across my house at least 100% percent of the time and like an idiot I follow the little booger around trying to pick it up and put it back in the dog bowl (look Kels I spelled it right for once).  Between Kylon, Dallas and Brett my house looks like a time bomb 24-7 and I'm the OCD maniac running around trying to stay on top of it.

Life right now is really good and getting back on track for all of us it seems.  We are all looking forward to the upcoming holidays and being able to spend time with the rest of our families - pictures of Stink Stink in his appropriate holiday attire will definitely follow.  As well as all the other pictures the lovely "papparazzi" takes in between all the scheduled photo opportunities I have set for him.

I just love that little man to pieces!!!!

Until Next Time
